FACILITY: 12-lane, 25-yard pool with Colorado Timing System.
The host team reserves the right to use the appropriate amount of lanes to keep the timeline to approx. 3 hours. (no more then 10 lanes)
Swimmers will be marshaled from our 6 lane pool.

ELIGIBILITY: All swimmers must be current members of a YMCA swim team.
Age as of December 1, 2007.
ENTRIES: Swimmers may swim in (3) three individual events and (2) two relays. Teams may enter as many relays as they have swimmers.
AWARDS: Medals will be given for the top (8) eight in each individual and relay events. Ribbons will be given for 9th through 16th place in both individual and relay events. Coaches may pick up their team’s awards at the end of the meet.
ENTRY FEES: $4.00 per individual event and $16.00 per relay.

All entries must be received by Tuesday, JANUARY 22, 2008.
There will be no deck entries. We encourage entries on Hytek disc.
Teams entering on HYTEK will be sent results on disc.
No phone or fax entries will be accepted.

NEW JERSEY YMCA 8/U CHAMPIONSHIP
Each competitor must fulfill the following conditions:
ELIGIBILITY:
1. The swimmer must have been a member of his/her YMCA in good standing for at least 90 days prior to the date of the championship and entitled to full privilege membership activities.
2. The swimmer must be an amateur and must not have represented another YMCA or another swimming organization (high schools excepted) in open or closed competition 90 days prior to February 15, 2008. College students are ineligible.
3. The swimmer must have represented his/her YMCA in closed competition on at least three occasions on separate days during the four (4) month period prior to Friday, February 1, 2008.
4. Participation is determined by the swimmer’s age as of December 1, 2007. A swimmer may participate in one age group only. There is no swimming up in age group events. (A 19 year old swimmer who is still in high school may compete in the 15/18 age group.)
5. Swimmers will be restricted to entering two (3) individual age group events and two relay events, with a maximum of 5 events. There are no restrictions on the number of entries per team in individual or relay events.
6. The 2006 edition of “Principles and Rules Governing Competitive Physical Activities in the YMCA” and the current Edition of the Revised Swimming and Diving Supplement prepared by the East Field South Competitive Committee will be used to measure eligibility
7. It shall be the responsibility of the Head Coach and CEO/Executive Director of each YMCA to assure that their swimmers meet all eligibility requirements.
8. The YMCA 8/under Championship Meet Committee will be composed of the Meet Referee (Head Official), Meet Director, New Jersey Competitive Coordinator and the North Jersey YMCA Swim League and South Jersey YMCA Swim League Executive League Coordinators, or their designees.

TIMERS: Lane timers will be requested from participating teams. Please list a contact person on the RE-CAP form.

ADMISSION: Adults and children over 12 $4.00

SPECTATORS: One (1) parent/guardian permitted per swimmer. The Ocean County YMCA reserves the right to limit the number of spectators allowed into the building. All parents and spectators are to sit on the upstairs bleachers. Absolutely no deck chairs, strollers or coolers will be allowed in the building
Session 2 doors will open to spectators when the building is cleared of session 1. The swimmers entrance will open to allow them time to change and prepare for warm up. Please be advised that the swimmers will be entering the building from a separate entrance from their parents. We will need participation from each team (coaches) to greet the younger swimmers at the swimmers entrance to bring them to the pool.

Marshalers: Since parents will not be able to be on the pool deck and we will be marshaling from a separate area, each team needs to bring people to help the swimmers to the marshaling area. We will be giving one Marshalers Deck Pass for every 10 swimmers your team has in the session
RESULTS: Will be mailed to all teams attending. Official results will be posted.
REFRESHMENTS will be available for purchase throughout meet.
PLUS:
The Sport Spot. will be at the meet, selling practice suits, goggles, shampoo, etc.
Special Championship T-Shirts will also be available for purchase.
DIRECTIONS: FROM THE NORTH: Take Garden State Parkway Exit 88 to Route 70 West. Take Route 70 West to New Hampshire Avenue South. (To make left turn you must use jug handle to right). Continue 2 ˝ miles on New Hampshire. Make right turn at traffic light onto West Whitty Road (just before the Garden State Parkway Overpass). The "Y" will be on the right just past the cemetery.
FROM THE SOUTH: Take Garden State Parkway Exit 83 (You will be on Route 9 North). Continue North, West Whitty Road will be the second traffic light. Turn right onto West Whitty Road and the "Y" will be a quarter mile further on the left.
FROM THE EAST: Take Route 37 West to Route 166 North. At the Garden State Parkway Overpass, Route 166 will change to Route 9. Continue North, West Whitty Road will be the second traffic light. Turn right onto West Whitty Road and the "Y" will be a quarter mile further on the left.
FROM THE WEST: Take Route 70 East to Route 571 East.(Right Turn onto Route 571). At the Route 9 intersection make left turn to Route 9, West Whitty Road will be the second traffic light. Turn right onto West Whitty Road and the "Y" will be a quarter mile further on the left.
