ELIGIBILITY: This meet qualifies as one of the three meets needed for Eastern Zone Championships qualification.   Only swimmers registered with New Jersey Swimming may enter any event that they have not achieved New Jersey Swimming SILVER TIME. (See attached events and time standards).    SLOWER THAN:  SILVER TIME Standards apply to all relay swimmers.  Age as of March 5th, 2005 will apply for the whole meet. No entries for swimmers 10 and Under will be accepted for this meet!   Only 11-12, 13-14, and 15-16 events will be run, and swimming up is not permitted under USA Swimming rules. Eight and under swimmers must swim in New Jersey 8 and Under championships.  Nine and Ten swimmers must swim in New Jersey 9 and 10 championships.

MEET FORMAT:   This meet will be run under current USS swimming rules.  All events will be run as timed finals.  Each event will be computer seeded to allow the connection of the timing system with the computer.  Even though we believe that relays are very important, relays may be eliminated to allow for all individual entries to be swum within a timely manner.  These changes, if any, will be given in the pre-meet information.

500 YD. FREESTYLES:  There will be a Limited 500 yd. Freestyle.  The fastest 24 swimmers in each age group will be allowed to swim this event.  There will be a positive check in for these events.  The psyche sheet for these events will be e-mailed prior to the meet. Swimmers that may not make the Top-24 swimmers can change events prior to the start of the meet.    Swimmers being cut from these events can get a refund for these events at the meet control desk.  These events will be swum slowest to fastest. There will be a 10 minute warm-up prior to the start of these events.  In the 13-16 events, the fastest 24 13-14 swimmers and fastest 24 15-16 swimmers.  If there are not 24 swimmers in one age group, then the next fastest swimmers will be taken from the othe age group.

ENTRY TIMES: All seed times must be SLOWER than the New Jersey Silver Time Standards. Entries with “NO TIMES” will not be accepted!  A Meet Committee will be selected to handle all protests including false entry times and illegal relay swimmers.  All illegal swims after the meet will be handled by New Jersey Swimming.

MEET INFORMATION: This meet is very hard to organize due to the unknown number of swimmers who will be attending. The meet will have two options: Option #1) Two sessions: 11-12 Boys and Girls in the morning and 13 & Over Boys and Girls in the afternoon. Option #2) Three sessions: 11-12 Girls in the morning, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-16 Boys in the Mid-Session, and 13-14 and 15-16 Girls in the late afternoon. NOTE: The Event Numbers Stay the Same! Therefore, exact information on starting times will be e-mailed to the clubs after entry registration is completed. This information will include meet time line, timing assignments, warm-up procedures,  and the appropriate starting and warm-up times. Hopefully this way of letting clubs know about the correct meet information will eliminate the problem of having conflicting information in existence if any changes are made!

SILVER QUALIFIERS:   Swimmers that achieve a New Jersey SILVER time standard at this meet can swim that event at the New Jersey SILVER CHAMPS the following week. (March 12-13, 2005).  You can enter the Silver Champs via e-mail after the meet is over.  THESE NEW SILVER CHAMP ENTRIES ARE DUE ON MONDAY, MARCH 7th, 2005 to JERSEY GATORS!

CHECK-IN:    Coaches must check in All SWIMMERS.  Check-in sheets will be in the coach’s packet.  The coaches can pick up coach’s packets after showing their coaching credentials.  Check-in will close 30 minutes before the start of each session.  There will be no exception to this policy.  Swimmers not checked in by the coaches will be scratched.  Swimmers checked in who fail to appear for an event without good cause may be scratched from the remainder of the meet. If a swimmer is inadvertently scratched by the coach and is in attendance, reasonable efforts will be made to enter that swimmer into the competition.

ADMISSION:  There will be a $5.00 per session admission fee. Program for the entire meet will cost $10.00.

ENTRY LIMIT: Swimmers will be allowed to enter a maximum of three individual events each day. New Jersey Swimming reserves the right to limit the numbers of entries in individual events based on the number of entries received.  (Such limitations would normally apply to the longer events, e.g., the 200 Freestyle,  and 200 IM’s.)
