TENTH ANNUAL

PRESIDENT’S FINAL FOLLY INVITATIONAL

SUNDAY JANUARY 30, 2005

 

Qualifying times for this meet may be submitted for “Y” State Championship seeding

 

 

LOCATION: YMCA of WESTERN MONMOUTH COUNTY      

                                    470 East Freehold Road

                                    Freehold, New Jersey 07728 (732-462-0464)

 

FACILITIES:             6 lane, 25 yard pool with non-turbulent lane lines and Colorado Timing system. Gymnasium space will be available for swimmers with spectator seating in the pool area. Each team is responsible for the conduct of their swimmers. No ball playing permitted.

 

ELIGIBILITY:           All swimmers must be current members of a YMCA swim team. Age of swimmers is determined as of December 1, 2004. Swimmers may swim 3 events. Only certified coaches will be allowed on the pool deck. Each team must supply their own timers and counters for the 500 FREE events. 2004-05 NCAA Rules will govern all competition.

 

ENTRY FEE:             $3.00 per event. Please make checks payable to the YMCA Swim Team.

 

 

CHECK-IN:               THERE WILL BE POSITIVE SWIMMER CHECK IN REQUIRED BY 7:30AM.

                                    Meet will be deck seeded. There will be no marshalling.

 

SCHEDULE:              Gym opens at 6:30AM Warm ups: 7:00AM                  Meet Starts: 8:00AM

 

 

ADMISSION:            $3.00 for adults and children over 12 years of age.        Programs: $3.00.

All working officials are free.

 

TIMERS:                   Timers and officials will be required from participating teams.

 

AWARDS:                 Events will be swum in three main age groups: 10/U, 11/12, and OPEN. However, awards will be presented to the top six finishers in each of the following age groups:

1.      8/U

2.      10/U (9 and 10 year olds)

3.      11/12 (11 and 12 year olds)

4.      13/14 (13 and 14 year olds)

5.      Open Events (15-18 year olds)

Awards may be picked up at the conclusion of the meet.

 

REFRESHMENTS:   Will be available and Sports Spot will be in attendance for swim attire and equipment.

DIRECTIONS:

 

From North: Take GS Parkway to Exit 123 (Route 9 South) to Route 18 South (approx. 7 miles), left-hand exit onto Route 18. Take Route 18 to Route 79 South (Freehold Exit). Take Route 79 approx. 2 miles to East Freehold Road (2nd light). Turn right onto East Freehold Road and Y is 1/2 mile on the left.

 

From South: Take Route 9 North past Freehold Raceway Mall. Take East Freehold Road exit (just past Pizza Hut). At end of ramp, turn left, at Stop sign turn right onto East Freehold Road. Y is 1.5 miles on right.
